Is the Cyclotour a race?

No, it's a cyclosportive ride on an open road. So it’s essential to obey the traffic rules! Any infringement may be reported and you may be banned from taking part.

When will I receive all important information?

You can already see all the information in the Cyclist’s Guide. On 16 May you’ll receive the event email with all details.

What about my bib number?

You’ll receive your bib number in the event email on 16 May. You must show this email when collecting your race package.

Refunds and roll-over to next year

Only possible if you have completed a Participation annulation and have a valid medical certificate. Conditions are detailed in the rules.

Can I change the name on my bib?

No, that’s not possible.

Are the bib number and jersey sent by post?

No, bib numbers and jerseys are handed out in the Cyclotour village at Place de la Navigation in Lausanne (see information in the Cyclist’s Guide).

Which size should I choose for the jersey?
Once I’ve collected the jersey, can I exchange it?

No, no exchanges can be made.

Can I pick up the bib number of a colleague or friend?

Yes, you just need to show their event email.

Can I ride with triathlon handlebars?

No, for safety reasons we do not allow triathlon handlebars. Time-trial bikes are also forbidden.

How can I get to the Evian–Lausanne start in Evian?

A shuttle boat is organised in the morning from Lausanne (Ouchy) to arrive on time for the start in Evian. The boat leaves at 7 a.m. from the Ouchy landing dock. A luggage deposit in Evian lets you collect your belongings in Lausanne after arrival.

How do I get back from Evian after finishing Lausanne–Evian?

With the voucher on your bib number, you can take the regular CGN boats from Evian to Ouchy. Each boat carries up to 75 people with bikes. Departures are at 10:05, 11:45 and 13:15. These are public boats, not reserved for Cyclotour participants.

Where can I leave my bike on arrival?

A closed, supervised bike park is available near the toilets. To drop off your bike, show your bib number. To collect it, present the voucher attached to your bib number.

I didn’t get a place – is there a waiting list?

No, there is no waiting list.

I’ve signed up for 176 km but may not finish – can I change the distance?

Unfortunately we cannot change the distance for 112 km or 64 km as the maximum boat capacity has been reached.

Are the roads closed?

No, it’s a ride on open roads. Please obey all traffic regulations.

What payment methods are available on site?

No cash – only card or Twint.

Is there a shop on site?

Yes, there’s a shop in the Cyclotour village with merchandising at the same place as the info point.
